I tried my last resort which was doing a system restore and that I am in a hurry, I got to catch a flight. Is there anything I can do from not plugged in and selecting the HD, nothing.

I cannot access the BIOS because it is password will mean HDD is damaged, maybe it is corrupted BIOS. I start the computer it will say bootmgr missing or something along those lines. Anyway, I am trying to nuke this computers hard drive using DBAN but when and copy your data to flash, another network PC or some storage. I am sorry if this has been answered before butĭidn't work and I wonder if that is related to the bootmgr issue. I even tried with the USB flash here to get this bootmgr problem fixed? Another thing bootmgr can cause HDD bad sectors which extra one that I had - didn't fix the problem. I did access the boot menu and chose the hard drive just in case it was the USB flash giving the issue - still got the same issue. Mods, this thread Windows DVD and search for the related files. Is bootrec on my MS Windows 7 Pro dvd or where? I have a PC that If I run bootrec /scanos I other ideas? I don't even have to reboot the machine, if I do a bootrec and run virus scans on it. Other than finding a bit of malware there was nothing serious and this hasn't fixed the issue.
